The mouse is represented by the character in "Y Not," She Meowed by Nina Topomeeks, a very shy and self-doubting person.
She has her own secrets that plagued her troubled mind. She falls for Poppy Hong who is her opposite. Hong loves animals and her approach to Nina is on the same level that she would approach a scared dog. She is encouraging and gentle in her manner, never threatening. They slowly form a lasting, loving bond. Nina is essential to helping Captain Skye Good-Night and the crew of Mariposa Spirit find the murderer of the cargo boss.
